Our standards
- Accuracy first. We check facts against primary sources, including service pricing pages, terms, and official UK guidance on fraud and online safety.
- No invented experiences. We never fabricate testimonials, dates, relationships or personal stories. First-hand accounts come from real, identifiable members of our dating panel or named contributors.
- Honest anonymity. Panel members may be shown with a changed first name, their age and area, for example “Sarah, 56, Manchester (name changed)”. We say when a name has been changed, and we keep private records confirming each contributor is real.
- No fake experts. Anyone described as an expert holds the relevant qualification or professional role, and is named.
- Original writing. We don’t reproduce marketing copy from dating services as our own opinion.
- Clear labels. Each article shows what it’s based on. See how we test.
Sensitive topics
Guidance on bereavement, relationship psychology and safety is reviewed by a qualified professional where possible, and the reviewer is named on the page.
Use of AI tools
We may use software tools, including AI, to help with research, organisation and drafting. Every article is checked and edited by a person, and no AI-generated text is presented as a personal experience. We don’t use AI-generated photos of people.
